Danish multi-national Micro Matic A/S acquires Northern Ireland beverage tube and python manufacturer Valpar from the O'Neill Group

The acquisition of Valpar, one of the world's largest beverage tubes and pythons manufacturers, will help strengthen Micro Matic A/S's beveverage business. Micro Matic A/S already produce the spears and dispensing heads in their product portfolio, Valpar's tubes now allow a connected keg to tap solution range and takes Micro Matic A/S a step closer to the supply of a complete draught beer system to allow the delivery of the perfect glass of draught beer.

Micro Matic A/S are a privately owned Danish Group with 36 business units in 21 countries comprised of manufactuing facilities and sales offices. The company specialises in new and innovative beer dispensing solutions and are world leaders in keg extractor valves and keg couplers to the brewing industry. Micro Matic A/S employ 1,700 people with 1,100 outside Denmark and have a combined revenue of 2.5 bn DKK.

Valpar was established in Northern Ireland in 1982 as an innovative manufacturer of plastic tubes and tube bundles used in the beverage industry and other fluid and gas transfer applications. Valpar was the first company to produce machine made pythons which help maintain beer and soft drinks at low temperatures.
